Hi, I’m Kevin,

Owner, builder, fixer, and the guy who actually shows up. FixLab started because I’ve spent my entire adult life doing two things:

• Solving problems

• Making things work

​

Whether that was in carpentry, construction, tech, or running massive GIS/data programs for the DoD, I realized a long time ago that I’m happiest when I’m fixing something with my hands and bringing order to chaos. And honestly? There's a huge gap between “random handyman” and “tech-savvy home technician.” So I built the thing I wished existed.

 

What I Bring to the Table:

I’m not the guy who shows up late, wings it, and disappears. I take pride in doing things clean, correct, and reliable, whether it’s mounting a TV, installing smart-home gear, assembling furniture, or troubleshooting something that’s making you crazy.

 

My background is a little different than the usual handyman:

 

• Associate Degree in Carpentry & Cabinet Making

• 10+ years of hands-on woodworking + construction work

• 17 years in GIS, data systems, and technical problem solving

• Experience in roofing, framing, cabinetry, and home repair

• Smart home tech, networking, and electronics

That mix of technical logic + hands-on skill means I don’t just slap things together. I think it through, I double-check it, and when I leave, it looks like it grew there.

 

Why does Fixlab exist???

Because homeowners deserve someone who:

 

• Respects their space

• Explains things clearly

• Does clean work

• Understands modern tech

• Actually gives a damn!

 

I built FixLab to be tech-forward home repair: a hybrid of solid craftsmanship and smart-home know-how. Not a “jack of all trades,” but someone who cares about doing things the right way every single time.

 

My Approach:

• I treat every job like it’s in my own home. I clean up after myself.

• I don’t cut corners. And I don’t upsell people things that they don’t need.

 

I want you to feel comfortable letting me into your house, trusting the work, and calling me back the next time something breaks, needs installing, or needs upgrading.

 

Outside of Work:

I’m a dad, a lifelong DIYer, a Cub Scout Den leader, a bit of a tool addict, and someone who always has three projects going at once. If I’m not fixing something, I’m learning something or building something unnecessary but cool.
